I read many of the contributions of recent years, some of them not very flattering for this special coffee. I decided to try it and I'm bringing my own conclusion. My take on the Mr. Coffee 4-Cup Programmable Coffee Machine. I bought two of them, one for my husband who loves coffee and one for me, favored tea (even if I make a pot of coffee in hand). Some comments were that the coffee "plastic" has the taste. When we first machine out of the box, it is certainhad a "plastic" feel, oh, but of course it is plastic. God thank you, is this "new" plastic smell, otherwise I think it has been used before. Coffee and tea had no notes in plastic.
Then I read that it takes too long to brew. I have not found that to be true, it took exactly the right time to make a big pot to make coffee / tea, probably less than 4 minutes. But then I am in the morning multitasking can stir the pot. So, I have not foundProblem with the infusion.
For answers that have been a matter of casting and it was found that 4-Cup would not fill two mugs, here is what I found. Absolutely no problems with casting. I have more coffee in the past, this problem no matter what I tried seemed to have, I understand the problem. But it's great. Then I have a large cup and what I found works for me is when I filled my first cup, I add only a small amount of water in the pot, so thatwhen I returned for my next refilling, it is filled, just enough for my cup. Also, using this tea and coffee is not too strong and bitter to happen, so when they sit and continue to stir.
So far I have had no problem with the time settings. I win or lose no time. But even if it gets to that point, I must say, I did not buy coffee for the clock, I have a lot of them around the house, including a clock that I wear. Yes, I realize that if the clocknot always perfect time if you could program the machine to be a couple of minutes. For me, no problem.
This is only my experience and thoughts on the Mr. Coffee coffee maker. We are very satisfied with the product. I was on the other comments I read in question, but the problems that others do not show disturbed the happiness with us. I hope this helps others decide for themselves, to acquire the coffee machine, and you find your way to this marvelous cupCoffee or tea.
